Titus

Titus was one of the Apostle Paul's most trusted companions. Paul writes to his son in the faith and explains to him how to set in order the troubled churches on the island of Crete. An understanding of the book of Titus is essential to any local church that endeavors to demonstrate God's grace to their community.

In this final chapter, Paul gives instructions to Titus as to how the church is to interact with those outside of the faith. He says that there is to be a marked difference in the way that Christians relate in the community. We are to offer grace.

Who should lead the church? The role of elder is one of humble service. They're not called to be slick celebrities, but faithful shepherds. The man who leads God's people must above all things exemplify sacrifice, devotion, lowliness and a love for and ability to communicate God's truth.
